Description

People fishing along the whole length of the jetty;
Unglamorous people... old men in dirty tracksuits with their craggy wives... scallywag kids...
a cool Asian guy with a cigarette hanging laconically from his mouth with a rod in his hand... a skinny waif girl with milk white skin and a little tattoo on her hip and a rod;
Old guys hurling crab nets with hunks of meat into the sea, chatting to the other fishermen;
Old couples walking hand in hand along the jetty;
Pushbikes and prams;
Kids used to dive off the jetty, but now signs prohibit it, but life will find a way, and the kids still dive;
Once upon a time kids up on the jetty called out "Shark!" to a man swimming in the deep water at the end of the jetty - the kids thought it was funny, but I doubt the swimmer did.
People playing bongos on the sand, communing with the sea, while two guys danced and twirled acrobatically around each other and made mini human pyramids;
Lights from the planes moving slowly in and out over the sea... if you could speed up time, the light highway in the sky would look really pretty;
Up above, the crescent moon next to Venus.

This is my beach.

Oh... the monstrosity at the end of the jetty is a mobile phone tower. At least the fishermen get real good reception :lol: "Honey, better go buy some fish and chips... I ain't caught nothin'"

Ever thought that one day, the world will flood? What we do if it did? How would we survive? Would it happen gradually or swiftly? Would we be able to clean the salt water enabling us to drink it, or we we die from it? Would we adapt like we should, or will we drown of exhaustion? Hum.
