Artist's Comments

These things looked like birds to me and images of the Phoenix came to mind. Made in UltraFractal with a bit of tweaking in Photoshop.

Thanks. I was more pleased how this turned out than I thought I would be (if that makes sense).

Very nice fractal start. Dont worry, there is only one standard in the world of Fractal Art and that is you yourself.

wow, your art is like my heaven. i especially like the tangeriine twist ^-^ that was beautiful in a quite interesting way.

This is the best interpretation of the story that i have seen.So many artists concentrate only on the splendour of the bird while ignoring the magnificence of its emergence.Having it pass through the night sky in a series of stages is really quite brilliant. You are given a feeling of the inferno and the rising from the ashes to begin anew unblemished by any of its past. Its initial appearance is explosive, but its appearance is not fully formed.By the time it reaches full flight its being is newly defined and we observe it soaring away.I have been looking for a googd Phoenix and i think that i have found one.

Thanks for the comment. I think you are giving me a little more credit for deliberate composition than is due ;-)

Well then it was just your time i guess.I work with a project called the Green Phoenix Foundation and have seen hundreds of various designs. This comes the closest in my mind to what i feel the myth represents.Take a little credit.........
